Welcome to my speaker page.
ANNOUNCING: After many years of serving God, I’m retiring from speaking and teaching at the end of 2022. I’m still available for luncheons, ladies’ conferences, retreats, or dinners (such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day) until the end of the year. Below I’ve listed some favorite topics. If none suit you, I will develop a topic based on your theme.
Thank you and God bless you and keep you safe.
You can contact me via my Facebook Author and Speaker page.

Thursday, June 9, 2022 – Senior Ladies’ Luncheon, Grace United Methodist Church, Indiana, Pa. Topic/theme: “Treasures in Jars of Clay: Aging with Grace”
Every Sunday I serve as the lay pastor for St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Punxsutawney, Pa. It’s the yellow brick church in Elk Run, (behind Sheetz) on the corner of Graffius and Orchard avenues. Come worship with us. Our service begins at 10:30 a.m.
Some favorite topics:
A Hat for All Seasons: The Importance of Balance in a Woman’s Life – In the course of a day, a woman wears many hats – sometimes more than one at the same time. How can we balance our lives so we don’t get burned out and still get everything done that needs done? Based on Ecclesiastes 3:1. Makes an excellent theme. If you know someone with a hat collection, ask if the collection could be displayed.
“Beautiful in God’s Eyes” – What makes you beautiful in God’s eyes? Based on Psalm 139:14, this topic could be used as an all-day retreat, with two sessions which address “True Beauty” and “Beauty in Brokenness.”
Boundaries and Balance – Does your life feel out of balance? How do boundaries help us to find the balance we so desperately need? Four sessions: 1. Kinds of boundaries, 2. “Sabbath Margins” (personal boundaries), 3. “Just Say ‘No'” (other-people boundaries), 4. “What are you walling in and walling out?”
“God’s Recipe Box”– If God had a recipe box, what recipes would be in it? Two-part presentation. Part 1: God’s Recipe for YOU, based on Philippians 1:6; Part 2: God’s Recipes for a life well lived.
My Anchor Holds – What would you say is most needed in today’s world? A song that was popular when I was in my teens was “What the World Needs Now Is Love.” I’m not disputing that we need love, but I believe what we need most is hope. What else will get us through the day, the hour, the minute when the sunshine disappears from our lives and the way is dark and dreary? Based on Hebrews 6:19 – “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure,” this is a topic we all can use.
Treasures in Jars of Clay (Aging with Grace) – Everybody wants to age with grace, but how do you do it? Based on 2 Corinthians 4:16. This also would be excellent for a retreat.
“What’s Your Cup of Tea?” Women’s Retreat – Discover, develop, and dispense your gifts and fulfill God’s plan and purpose for your life in this 5-session retreat which incorporates hands-on Bible study.
These are just a few of my speech topics. I’ll be happy to develop a speech or retreat around the theme for your event. All topics can be used for a single talk or a seminar with 3-4 sessions.
