I’m so glad you stopped by.
I used to think my gift from God was the ability to speak, teach, and write. I certainly have the passion for all three.
But I’ve since realized that God planted the seeds of those skills in me, and it was my responsibility to discover, develop, and dispense them.
But they weren’t my spiritual gift. They were skills by which I use my spiritual gift – the gift of encouragement.
Ever since I was a child, my heart’s desire has been to encourage others – to put a smile on their faces and joy in their hearts. To lighten their burdens with laughter. To give them hope, a commodity that seems to be sorely lacking in today’s world. Or provide them a respite from the real world with a story about a gutsy gal who overcomes tremendous odds to find greater love and a deeper faith.
You might know me for my column, blog, and former radio program, God, Me, and a Cup of Tea. Or you might know me for my fiction, which I began writing in 2007. Or you might know me as a speaker. Whatever the venue, you’ll find yourself, as I often do, where faith, love, and life collide – and it’s an exciting place to be!
